Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU, cardiac ICU, or critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Strong knowledge of cardiac, cardiovascular critical care, and ICU workflows
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to adult and geriatric CVICU patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from open-heart surgery and advanced cardiac procedures
• Assess and respond quickly to changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic and respiratory status
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and other critical medications per protocol
• Support ventilated patients and manage invasive monitoring systems
• Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote safe, evidence-based nursing practice
• Assist with complex procedures and respond appropriately to emergent situations in the ICU
