Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CV) registered nurse position is located in Medford, Oregon. The role involves caring for post open heart surgery and cardiac medical patients within a dedicated CVICU setting. It requires handling complex procedures such as ventilator management, trach care, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative patient management following cardiac interventions.
Job Details:
- Location: Medford, Oregon
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend (may require consecutive weekends to accommodate requested time off)
- Required Qualifications: Oregon RN License, BLS, ACLS, 1 year RN experience, 1 year CVICU nursing experience, experience with post heart cath recovery, post-op day 1 open heart surgery patient management, ventilated patient care, swan ganz catheter management, vasoactive medication titration
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic computer system, Omnicell Medication Administration, B. Braun IV Pumps, Avea ventilators, Edwards and Phillips patient monitoring
- Float: Float to ICU, IMCU, ED, Med-Surg, telemetry, post-surgical, ortho neuro in accordance with union contract; resource nurse role when floating to Med-Surg
- Additional Information:
- 12 hours orientation to CVICU
- Non-Oregon licensed RNs may apply and be eligible for a 90-day temporary license
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 50-mile radius restriction applies
- Call is not scheduled but is available on a stand-by basis during low census periods
- Will float to various units/departments as needed
- Standard scrubs dress code, no visible tattoos on the neck or above, facial jewelry limited
