Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing position is based in a healthcare facility located in Glenview, Illinois. This role involves providing advanced critical care to patients with complex medical needs, including post-cardiac surgery, cardiac interventions, and other critical conditions. The position offers an opportunity to work within a cardiovascular-focused environment, delivering specialized patient care in a dynamic setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, and at least 3 years of experience working in an ICU setting with a focus on cardiovascular intensive care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in charge nurse roles, familiarity with interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and post-cardiac surgery care.
• Additional Information:
  • Start date scheduled for August 16, 2026.
  • May float to other ICUs if needed, including Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU.
  • Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above and submit recent clinical skills checklists and supervisor references.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring invasive lines such as pulmonary artery lines/Swan-Ganz catheters, managing ventilated patients, administering IV medications, interpreting ABGs, and maintaining infection prevention protocols.
