  • Floating: May float to other children’s units and NICU areas as needed

Job Requirements

  • ICU or critical care nursing experience required
  • Experience caring for intubated and ventilated patients required
  • Strong background in ICU-level patient care across complex diagnoses
  • Current RN license required
  • PALS certification required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity pediatric environment
  • Flexible, positive, and team-oriented approach to patient care
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with a multidisciplinary medical team
  • Preferred: ECMO experience, CRRT experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a CVICU / ICU setting
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring vents, drips, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, trachs, and G-tubes
  • Support care for a broad range of ICU-level diagnoses, including respiratory, neuro, GI, GU, burns, DKA, ortho, ENT, and more
  • Assist with procedures such as central line care, chest tube management, sedation support, lumbar punctures, and intubation
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses, and the broader care team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support smooth unit workflow using Meditech
  • Adapt to changing patient needs while delivering compassionate, family-centered care
