Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 39 Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Open to recent graduates and less than 1 year of experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience. License: Registered Nurse Certifications: CPR/BLS Must-Have: - Knowledge of gerontological/geriatric nursing theory and practices. - Understanding of residents' medical, social, functional, and other needs. - Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. - Skills in conducting nursing assessments and developing care plans. - Familiarity with pharmacology and medications. - Knowledge of federal, state, and agency regulations governing nursing practices. - Capability to lead and supervise subordinate staff. - Commitment to continuous improvement in nursing practice. Description: Administer medication and perform treatments as ordered by the physician and within the scope of license. Receive and deliver a variety of information regarding the resident's needs. Participate in the receiving and giving of shift reports. Communicate with residents, families, and staff as necessary to ensure appropriate care from the interdisciplinary team. Perform the initial admission nursing assessment on newly admitted residents. Assist with the development of the Minimum Data Set assessments, ongoing quarterly reviews, and care plans. Maintain appropriate clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments, treatment, and summary of client progress. Lead and perform limited supervision of subordinate staff. Assist with direct resident care for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility. Conduct and participate in in-service training and staff development programs. Utilize concepts and tools for problem solving and continuous work/process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned related to the position. Observe and assess the behavior and progress of patients. Develop and carry out patient care plans within a team nursing concept. Build interpersonal relationships.
