Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Multiple (12:00 AM - 12:00 PM) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: RN License Required Certifications: CPR Certification Preferred Must-Have: Must be available any shift/hours, as they can change to earlier or later as needed. Must be available all days of the week. Description: Provides professional nursing care to patients housed in state-operated facilities. Observes, assesses and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients. Makes nursing rounds and takes and records vital signs. Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans. Monitors restrained patients every 15 minutes and provides immediate medical attention to emergencies. Administers first aid and arranges transportation to emergency services when necessary. Counsels patients regarding medical referrals. Participates in staff development and education. Reviews care plans written by staff and trains new employees. Responsible for all health care of bedridden patients in the facility. Makes rounds and evaluates care needed and rendered. Teaches health care principles and administers medications, including narcotics. Performs specialized procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, and CPR. Organizes and oversees emergency response teams and directs healthcare staff assigned to the area. Acts as lead worker for assigned responsibilities and ensures high-quality patient care is provided.
