This position is for an ambulatory clinic team nurse focused on providing comprehensive care in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have specific experience in OBGYN and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Job Description

The Ambulatory Clinic Nurse will be responsible for collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care. The role involves both direct patient interaction and administrative responsibilities to ensure optimal healthcare outcomes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to nursing philosophy, practice standards, and qualifications.
• Collaborate with physicians and midlevel providers to deliver direct healthcare to patients.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and address any changes in conditions.
• Effectively communicate and document patient education, understanding of care plans, and follow-up instructions.
• Promptly relay pertinent patient information and findings to healthcare team members.
• Triage telephone inquiries and review lab results, ensuring timely patient notification regarding test outcomes.
• Organize referrals to ancillary services as required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in office procedures, including testing and phlebotomy, while assisting healthcare providers with medical procedures.
• Maintain departmental logs and ensure integrity in documentation.
• Familiarize with Department of Public Health and Welfare guidelines, ensuring compliance in reporting and managing communicable diseases.
• Complete necessary informational forms and accurately recognize signs of abuse, reporting as required.
• Manage inventory of client education materials and evaluate new resources.

Qualifications

• Experience in OBGYN within a clinic or outpatient setting is required.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system is essential.
• Must have a minimum separation period from previous employment within the healthcare system to be considered for the position.
• Flexibility to wear any color scrubs as part of the uniform policy.
