RN – Oncology / Endocrine Clinic
Location: Ohio State University – Wexner Medical Center, Ohio
Shift: Days | 5x8s | 08:00 AM–04:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Contract: 13 weeks
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Locals: Accepted at the same rate
Position Requirements
- RN – Oncology
- 1 year Oncology RN experience required
- Inpatient Oncology and/or Outpatient Oncology experience
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- OCN preferred
- Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at submission
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program
- Epic charting experience preferred/required for the role
- Adult patient experience

- Unit: RN Endocrine Clinic – Oncology
- Patient Population: Adults
- Daily Census: Approximately 80–100
- Rooms: 16
- Documentation: Epic
- Float: Yes
- Orientation: 24 hours
Oncology Experience
Candidates should be comfortable caring for patients with:
- CLL / CML
- Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
- ALL / AML
- Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)
- Myeloproliferative disorders
- Aplastic anemia
- Hemoglobinopathies
- Thrombotic disorders
Important Compliance
- RTO must be provided at submission and included in the contract.
- Ohio fingerprinting is urgent and must be completed immediately after signing the contract.
- Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday before start date — no exceptions.
- Candidates who delay or are unresponsive during credentialing may be pushed or canceled.
- Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to Ohio for fingerprinting.
- Candidates far from Ohio will receive a fingerprinting packet by mail and must complete it urgently.
References
2 professional references required:
- At least 1 manager/director/supervisor or formal leader
- Charge RN is acceptable for the second reference
- Coworker references are not accepted
Employment Restrictions
- Former OSU employees must have been separated for at least 6 months before taking a travel assignment.
- Current employees are not eligible for traveler positions at OSU hospital locations.

- Flu vaccine: Required; medical exemptions only
Parking
- WMC: Closest option; approximately $224.80/month
- CXS: Approximately $393.96/year
- WB: Approximately $196.20/year, with shuttle service from West Campus/Carmack lots
Best candidate: RN with at least 1 year of oncology experience, strong Epic skills, adult oncology/outpatient clinic experience, BLS, and an active Compact/OH license. First-time travelers are welcome.
