GI Surgery Bariatric Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our GI Surgery Bariatric Clinic. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients in an outpatient setting, focusing on bariatric and gastrointestinal surgery. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team to deliver high-quality nursing care.

Shift Information

• Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend Requirements: None
• On-Call Requirements: None

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in compliance with facility policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
• Float to like units within the same location as needed, including GI medicine and other relevant areas.

Qualifications

• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Ambulatory clinic experience preferred; background in GI surgery or surgical nursing is desirable.

Additional Information

• Ratios: The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.
• Mandatory to include all requests for time off (RTO) at the time of submission for consideration.
• This position may involve emergencies during hurricane season, running from June through November.
