Support on the Unit: CNA 1:12, Charge nurse does not take an assignment, Centralized tele monitoring with a tech, Bedside monitoring, 24 hour Intensivist coverage on unit, Mid-level coverage, Full time ICU educator, CV coordinator.

Description:
This is a Level II Trauma Center.
The facility has a Level III NICU and Level III Maternity.
The number of beds is 167.
The facility is a Primary Stroke Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Covid vaccine is required.
The patient types include Multi specialty ICU with high acuity Neuro/post Cardiovascular surgery/medical/surgical/trauma ICU.
CRRT will not be performed.
There are no pediatrics, burns, or transplant patients in the unit.
Special competencies are required for post Cardiovascular recoveries, CRRT, and neuro patients; therefore, contract staff may not be assigned to this population.
Floating may occur outside of the ICU when needed.
Block scheduling may be available, but is not guaranteed.
There are no call requirements.
The expected number of shifts to be called off is three shifts per 13-week assignment.
Hourly monitoring is done centrally.
All medication management is facilitated through Pyxis and charting is performed on EPIC.
Scrub color is not restricted.
Weekend rotation is expected every other week.
