Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Preferred

• Prior Meditech experience
• Previous travel experience in a large ICU facility

Unit Overview

High-acuity coronary critical care unit managing complex cardiac and ICU patients.

Common procedures and treatments include:

• Heart catheterization patients
• IABP / balloon pumps
• CRRT
• Therapeutic hypothermia
• Cardioversion
• Central lines
• Continuous medication drips

Staffing

Typical staffing includes:

• 13 bedside RNs
• 1 Charge RN
• 1 Patient Care Tech

Staffing structure is similar on both days and nights.

Ideal Candidate

Strong fit for an ICU RN who is:

• Comfortable with 1:2 critical care ratios
• Experienced with invasive cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips
• Familiar with IABP, CRRT, and post-cath patients
• Organized, efficient, and able to manage high-acuity cardiac patients
• Positive and engaged with the team

Recruiter Notes

This is a true cardiac ICU/CCU assignment, not a general MedSurg cardiac floor. The strongest candidate will have recent ICU experience with balloon pumps, CRRT, cardiac drips, cardioversion, and post-cath care.
