Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Case Management RN requiring 2+ years of pediatric case management experience and NICU/PICU background at a children's teaching hospital.

Details

  • Work in the Case Management department of a children's hospital
  • Pediatric patient population with case management and discharge planning responsibilities
  • Patient ratio of 1:20 or more
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Epic charting system used
  • Required to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • BSN required
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric case management experience required
  • NICU/PICU experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • Prior travel experience required
  • 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Coordinate care, manage discharge planning, and oversee utilization review for pediatric patients
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field preferred
  • Hem/Onc experience preferred
  • ICU and Med-Surg experience preferred
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
  • Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
  • All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager prior to offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no time off allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
  • Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit
