Job Opportunity – Ambulatory Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Alaska

Schedule: Outpatient clinic setting with standard ambulatory care hours

Requirements:
  • Current, full, and unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska (must be active at time of submission)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Case Management certification preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must reside at least 100+ miles from the facility location
  • Fingerprint clearance required (start date not less than 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans using the nursing process
  • Administer medications and treatments safely according to provider orders and organizational policy
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care
  • Provide patient and family education related to care, medications, and follow-up needs
  • Coordinate care and facilitate referrals in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record
  • Practice within nursing scope of practice and adhere to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain required competencies and certifications
