Job Title: Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Care Manager, GYN, Obstetrics RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday, day shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification required. Must-Have: Case Management experience required. Description: The Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting. This role supports individuals and families across the continuum of care. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They administer medications and treatments, perform clinical procedures, and provide patient education. The RN coordinates care in collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary teams. The Ambulatory RN ensures accurate documentation and adherence to infection control and regulatory standards. They promote quality outcomes, patient safety, and culturally responsive care in a fast-paced environment. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care. They facilitate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services. The RN documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record. They advocate for patient care and assist patients in navigating the healthcare system. The RN performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care. They implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient responses. The RN recognizes changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions. They deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered care. The RN accepts accountability for nursing decisions and outcomes of care. They maintain required competencies and certifications and participate in quality improvement activities. The RN demonstrates professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork. They provide appropriate guidance and delegation to ancillary staff and support the orientation and education of others. Flexibility to float to other departments may be required.
