Key Responsibilities of the RN - Case Management- Screen new admissions daily for discharge planning needs
- Verify accuracy of demographics and payer information
- Coordinate patient appeal rights under the Discharge Appeals program
- Facilitate third-party reimbursement through effective communication
- Ensure discharge plans match patient needs and covered services
- Advocate for patients regarding insurance coverage and care requirements
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of community resources
Requirements of the RN - Case Management- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Minimum of 3 years acute care experience within the past 5 years
- Working knowledge of InterQual or equivalent system
- Demonstrate experience in Discharge Planning and Utilization Review
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
