Job Title: Case Manager RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent relevant experience License: RN-Registered Nurse of California Certifications: Required certifications as applicable Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Bachelor's in Nursing preferred - Broad knowledge of health care delivery and case management within a managed care environment - Comprehensive knowledge of Utilization Review, levels of care, and observation status - Awareness of healthcare reimbursement systems including HMO, PPO, PPS, CMS, and alternative payment systems - Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and professional standards affecting case management practice - Ability to communicate effectively and promote collaboration with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other partners - Strong verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills - Excellent time management skills in a high-volume environment with changing priorities - Intermediate computer and technology skills - Ability to function effectively in teams Description: The Case Manager RN will utilize a broad knowledge base of health care delivery and case management within a managed care environment.
