Start Date: ASAP
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 5x8 day shifts (various start times between 0700-1700), every other weekend required, 72 guaranteed hours per two-week period

Highlights:

  • Work at a prestigious Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 407 staffed beds and Level II Trauma designation
  • Provide case management and discharge planning services across multiple patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and care coordination
  • 13-week assignment with flexibility to float within case management services to support departmental needs
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and more
  • Free parking and scrubs provided by facility

Requirements:

  • Active Alaska RN license required prior to offer
  • BLS certification preferred
  • ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with utilization review criteria (InterQual, Milliman Guidelines)
  • Knowledge of discharge planning, care coordination, and medical necessity determination
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
  • First-time travelers accepted
