Schedule: 5x8 day shifts (various start times between 0700-1700), every other weekend required, 72 guaranteed hours per two-week period
Highlights:
- Work at a prestigious Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 407 staffed beds and Level II Trauma designation
- Provide case management and discharge planning services across multiple patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and care coordination
- 13-week assignment with flexibility to float within case management services to support departmental needs
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and more
- Free parking and scrubs provided by facility
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN license required prior to offer
- BLS certification preferred
- ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with utilization review criteria (InterQual, Milliman Guidelines)
- Knowledge of discharge planning, care coordination, and medical necessity determination
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- First-time travelers accepted
