Job Opportunity – Case Manager RN – Alaska

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days, 4x10 or 5x8 schedule. Shift times range from 0700-1730 to 0830-1800. Every other weekend required or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule. No on-call required. Contract lengths available in 13 or 26-week options.

• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Collaborate with robust interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Focus on admission criteria, medical necessity determination, discharge planning, and care coordination
• Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period with minimal call-off exposure

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license (must be in hand for expedited offer consideration)
• Minimum 1-2 years of acute care hospital nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
• Experience with utilization of InterQual or Milliman guidelines, medical necessity determinations, and discharge planning
• Knowledge of CMS regulations, ICD-10 coding, and appeals/denials processes
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers accepted
