Job Title: Case Manager Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: Acute Client experience, admission criteria, appeals and denials, benefits eligibility, care coordination, discharge planning, and prior authorization experience preferred Must-Have: - Acute care experience - Must be able to float between like units - Experience with HMOs, IPAs, and advance directives Description: The position requires a registered nurse with case management experience. Candidates must have acute care experience to qualify. Weekends will be required every other week. Call is not required for this position. Candidates may need to float between units based on department needs. Local applicants are accepted. All requests for time off must be submitted with the application. Travelers may experience a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily case load may consist of up to 25 patients, requiring strong time management skills. The facility provides resources for housing assistance if needed. This area offers easy access to various state and national parks for outdoor activities. The position involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including social services. Experience with protective service processes and knowledge of CMS guidelines is essential. Applicants should have strong skills in care coordination, needs assessment, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. References will be required to confirm prior experience. Travelers in this role will be expected to work in a dynamic environment, and flexibility is key.
