TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Case Manager RN in Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301!

Job Title: Case Manager Profession: RN Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: None specified Must-Have: - Case Management experience - Experience with Midas/InterQual Description: The typical census for the unit ranges from 180 to 230 patients, including women and children. There are currently six Case Managers on staff. The schedule includes one Case Manager weekend option, working Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. During weekdays, there are 4-5 Case Managers working from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Patient ratios are approximately 1 Case Manager to 40 patients Monday through Friday. Staff utilizes laptops and cell phones for communication and documentation. The electronic medical record system used is MediTech and Midas. Candidates must have experience in Case Management, including familiarity with Midas and InterQual. Knowledge of community resources is preferred. Typical job duties include interviewing patients and families face-to-face, conducting Medical Discharge Reviews (MDRs) daily, completing InterQual reviews on all patients, performing observation reviews, and facilitating discharge planning. The ideal candidate will have a personable disposition and the ability to work well with others. The position may require floating to different areas within the facility. The dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs and a white jacket. The unit follows hospital guidelines and policies, including rotating weekends with no on-call requirements.
