Description:
The Registered Nurse will supervise stress tests and start IVs.
Administer cardiac medications during testing.
Review patient history and medications.
Enter information into the case cart and electronic medical record system.
Respond to emergencies and assess patients prior to testing.
Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals including cardiologists and fellows.
The position involves caring for both inpatient and outpatient adult and pediatric cardiac patients.
The nurse will typically handle 18-25 cases per day in the unit.
A strong understanding of EKG interpretation is essential.
