Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room setting with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Assist with and support open heart and vascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacement, carotid endarterectomy, and ECMO
- Participate in angiogram, fistulagram, fistula creation, and lower extremity bypass procedures
- Collaborate within a skill-mixed team of RNs and surgical technologists in a fast-paced OR environment
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Fulfill on-call requirements averaging 4–5 days per month, including approximately 1 weekend per month; float to Main OR as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular or vascular operating room setting
- Demonstrated experience with open heart and vascular surgery
- Operating room experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with open heart and/or vascular surgical procedures in a high-acuity environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume cardiovascular OR
