Job TitleRegistered Nurse - CVOR

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with weekday, weekend, and possible holiday call responsibilities (30-minute call response time expected)
Key Responsibilities- Circulate across all cardiovascular and other surgical service lines in a 2-OR setting handling approximately 2-6 cases per day
- Support a wide range of cases including CABGs, Robotic CABG and Lung procedures, Valve surgeries, Fem-POP, TAVRs, EVARs, and vascular cases
- Collaborate with PCAs who assist with room turnover and supply retrieval (e.g., blood products)
- Document patient care using Epic EMR (transitioning to Epic Gold)
- Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation with an expected 30-minute response time
- Maintain compliance with all applicable surgical and patient safety standards; no floating to other departments required
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
- BLS certification (required)
- Experience in cardiovascular or operating room nursing
- Ability to circulate across all surgical service lines
Preferred Experience / Skills- Scrubbing experience (not required for RNs but strongly preferred)
- Prior experience with CABG, TAVR, EVAR, or other complex cardiovascular and vascular procedures
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
- Charge nurse experience in a surgical or OR setting
