    RN (Registered Nurse) – CVOR

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide perioperative nursing care within a CVOR setting, supporting cases including open heart, vascular, thoracic, esophageal, hepatobiliary, and transplant (lung, liver, and kidney) procedures
    • Function across a suite of six standard ORs and one Hybrid OR, with an average of approximately seven cases per day
    • Fulfill mandatory call requirements, including one to two nights per week and one weekend of first call and one weekend of second call per month
    • Float to General OR or BNI OR as needed
    • Serve in a Charge Nurse capacity as required
    • Maintain strict sterile field technique and demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes as assessed through a skills simulation lab
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification
    • Demonstrated competency in sterile field technique, Foley catheter insertion, and central line dressing changes
    • Experience in cardiovascular or OR nursing
    • Proficiency with Cerner/Surginet EMR
    • Must pass a Day 1 skills assessment (Foley catheter insertion) and a simulation lab evaluation (pass/fail)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CNOR certification
    • Prior experience with complex cardiovascular cases including open heart, vascular, and transplant procedures
    • Familiarity with hybrid OR environments
