Key Responsibilities Provide high-acuity surgical support for cardiothoracic, thoracic, and vascular procedures in a multi-service Level-II Trauma Center environment. Provide high-acuity surgical support for cardiothoracic, thoracic, and vascular procedures in a multi-service Level-II Trauma Center environment
Circulate across core OR service lines within a 15-suite operating room, including one hybrid OR
Collaborate with a team of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons to ensure safe, effective patient care
Fulfill on-call obligations including four weekday call shifts (Monday–Friday, end of shift until 7:00 AM) and four weekend call shifts covering both day (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on Saturdays and Sundays per month
Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted RN license – Virginia state license or valid compact license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
Cardiothoracic surgery experience with specialty experience within the last year required
EPIC EMR experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required – must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
NIH and stroke education required
SSN required at time of submittal; one supervisory reference required at submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
Scrub experience in cardiothoracic or vascular procedures
PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
General OR proficiency across multiple surgical service lines
