Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room in New Brunswick, NJ

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (18:00-06:30) | Every other weekend required | On-call approximately 1 weekend per month (24-hour call, Saturday and Sunday)
Key Responsibilities

• Perform both scrub and circulate roles within the cardiovascular operating room setting
• Support a broad range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures including CABG, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, valve replacement, MAZE procedure, lobe resection, thoracotomy, and VATS
• Assist with vascular, orthopedic/spine, general surgery, robotic, and transplant procedures as assigned within skillset
• Float to the main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled during the shift
• Document patient care using EPIC; EPIC experience is required
• Provide on-call or work coverage for at least 1 of 2, or 2 of 3, winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) as determined by unit/department need

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in both scrub and circulate functions in a CVOR setting
• Experience with adult open-heart and trauma surgery environments
• EPIC charting experience required
• At least 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures (colorectal, GI, GYN, neuro, ortho, urologic, TORS, otolaryngologic)
• Familiarity with transplant procedures including heart, kidney, liver, lung, and organ donation
• Exposure to a high-volume academic medical center or tertiary referral cardiovascular program
