Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 2-suite Cardiovascular Operating Room at a Level II Trauma Center with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Assist with and support CABG, valve replacement, thoracic, and vascular procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team including CSTs during day shift operations
- Float to the main OR as needed in support of overall surgical department staffing
- Adhere to facility scheduling policies including variable call coverage, weekend rotation, and holiday rotation
- Document patient care accurately using the facility EMR system (Meditech)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Florida or compact licensure eligibility
- Minimum of 5 years of CVOR experience
- Main OR experience with willingness to float to main OR as needed
- Ability to work a variable call schedule including every other weekend and holidays in rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- RN candidates who also scrub are strongly preferred
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Flexible, team-oriented personality well-suited to a fast-paced surgical environment
