Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures in the OR setting
• Collaborate with the surgical team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Monitor patient status throughout cardiovascular procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled, including weekend and holiday rotations
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing
• Ability to fulfill on-call requirements, including weekends and holiday rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification or equivalent perioperative nursing certification
• Experience with open heart and/or minimally invasive cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and perfusion equipment
