Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular operating room throughout all phases of surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties during cardiovascular and open-heart surgical cases
- Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation and adhere to facility protocols and standards of care
- Ensure proper handling, preparation, and sterilization of cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact licensure eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience
- Current BLS certification; ACLS may be required
- Ability to fulfill a 13-week travel contract with a projected start date in early September 2026
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures including open-heart and valve cases
- Prior travel nursing experience in a CVOR setting
