Key Responsibilities
Manage the operating room environment across pediatric surgical cases including cardiac, orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, and plastics procedures
Assist surgeons during open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures in a pediatric setting
Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the perioperative process
Provide pre- and post-operative care to pediatric patients at a 1:1 patient ratio
Operate and manage specialized equipment including Belmont Rapid Fusion devices
Communicate effectively with surgical team members, anesthesia providers, and service line leaders
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Pediatric CVOR RN experience
Cardiac and open heart surgery experience required
Active and unrestricted RN license
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Proficiency with Meditech or CPN EMR systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
Pediatric patient care experience beyond minimum requirement
Dedicated CVOR or cardiac surgical nursing background
Ability to function across multiple surgical service lines
