Key Responsibilities
Manage the operating room environment within a pediatric cardiovascular surgical setting, ensuring readiness and safety throughout all procedures
Assist surgeons during cardiac and open heart surgical procedures as well as procedures across multiple service lines including orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, and plastics
Monitor patient vital signs and maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical cases
Provide pre- and post-operative care in accordance with unit protocols and best practices
Collaborate effectively with charge RNs, surgical technologists, anesthesia teams, and service line leaders
Participate in on-call responsibilities as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Pediatric CVOR RN experience
Active RN licensure in good standing
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Demonstrated experience in cardiac and open heart surgery — required for consideration
Preferred Experience / Skills
Pediatric clinical experience in a surgical or cardiovascular setting
Ability to function across multiple surgical service lines
Familiarity with Meditech or CPN electronic medical record systems
Experience with Belmont Rapid Infusion equipment
