Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care as an RN within a cardiovascular operating room environment handling open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic cases
Assist with scrubbing in as needed to hold the heart and help close the chest
Participate in a call rotation including one weekday call per week and one weekend call per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Float to the General OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled, and as needed within the broader surgical zone
Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
Collaborate with OR technicians and the surgical team across a 3-suite CVOR performing approximately 1–2 open heart cases per day
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
BLS certification (required)
Demonstrated experience in open heart surgery and/or endovascular procedures
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
Must be available and present in state for the full one-week unit orientation
Valid driver's license required; must reside within 60 miles of facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification preferred
Experience with TAVR and thoracic surgical cases
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Availability for holiday call shifts preferred
