    RN OR First Assist – CVOR

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, shift hours flex between 5:30 AM–2:00 PM depending on case load; on-call rotation averaging every third day and every third weekend

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform vein and radial harvest procedures; proficiency in both vein and radial harvest is required
    • Conduct preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient assessment, care planning, and discharge instruction
    • Manage nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate the needs of the surgical team with other care providers throughout the procedure
    • Administer medications safely and consistently in accordance with applicable state practice standards and facility policies
    • Monitor the OR environment and personnel for adherence to aseptic technique; anticipate scrub nurse needs and manage sterile supplies and equipment
    • Participate in on-call rotation as assigned, including weekend call coverage
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
    • RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) certification required
    • Minimum of 4 years of RN experience required
    • Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
    • Proficiency in vein harvest and radial harvest required
    • Dysrhythmia exam completion required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certifications from an approved source
    • CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) certification
    • Completion of an OR internship program or Periop 101 training
    • Knowledge of AORN standards, sterile field guidelines, and perioperative best practices
