Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) | 8-Hour Shifts | Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgical procedures in the operating room
- Fulfill on-call obligations as required by the department
- Float to clinically appropriate units as needed, within scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative process
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Demonstrated competency in cardiothoracic operating room nursing practice
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a cardiothoracic or cardiovascular operating room setting
- Familiarity with perioperative protocols and scrub/circulator roles in CVOR procedures
