Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital
- Perform scrub and/or circulator duties as required within scope of practice
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend on-call as scheduled
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
- Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN License required (pending license may be considered, though active license strongly preferred at time of submission; compact license must be in hand at submission)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience
- Must be available for on-call shifts, including weekends
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Magnet-designated hospital environment
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience floating within a cardiovascular or surgical service line
- Ability to accommodate a block scheduling format
