Must-Have: Experience with common types of cases such as CABG, AVR, MVR, and Thoracotomy.
Description:
The role involves working within a Cardiovascular Operating Room.
The unit has one operating suite with an average of two cases per day.
The nurse-to-case ratio is two circulators per case.
The electronic medical record system used is Cerner and Surginet.
A charge nurse will handle assignments for the following day.
Call and weekend work is required, with a rotation for on-call duties.
The response time for call is 30 minutes.
Holidays will require availability.
Scrub colors will be provided.
Floating to the main operating room will be required as needed.
There will be floor-specific orientation until the nurse is comfortable.
Scrubbing is not required but is preferred for this position.
Cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.
Experience in trauma care is beneficial.
The work setting is acute care.
