Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
  • Participate in an on-call rotation shared among CV staff, with approximately 14 call shifts per month including weekend call
  • Float as needed to Vascular and General OR departments
  • Complete required pre-start compliance modules prior to first day (RN modules may be up to 5-6 hours; modules are not billable)
  • Adhere to facility fit-testing requirements, including shaving prior to mask fit testing - CAPRs and PAPRs are not permitted; no medical or religious exemptions accepted
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
  • ACLS certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted
  • Travelers may not work beyond 1 year at this facility; a 6-month break is required before returning as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
  • Experience floating across Vascular and General OR service lines
