Charge nurses are available on day and evening shifts, with day charge nurses possibly assisting with lunches and evening charge nurses possibly having room assignments based on staffing needs. Common procedures include BLS CABGs, Robotic CABGs and Lung surgeries, valve repairs, femoral popliteal surgeries, TAVRs, EVARs, and various vascular cases.

There are typically 2 operating rooms with 2 to 6 cases handled each day. Common procedures include BLS CABGs, Robotic CABGs and Lung surgeries, valve repairs, femoral popliteal surgeries, TAVRs, EVARs, and various vascular cases. Circulating responsibilities across all service lines are required. Scrubbing is not mandatory for RNs but is advantageous. Charge nurses are available on day and evening shifts, with day charge nurses possibly assisting with lunches and evening charge nurses possibly having room assignments based on staffing needs. Patient Care Assistants assist with room cleanliness and running for blood. The facility utilizes Epic EMR and is transitioning to Epic Gold. On-call responsibilities include weekday, weekend, and possible holiday shifts, with a response time of 30 minutes. There are no floating requirements to other departments. Client scrubs are provided. Shift cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment.
