Key Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing
• Evaluates health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
• Performs health teaching, health counseling, and provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching
• Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients as needed, and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need, and may be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN minimum)
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a CVOR or related setting preferred
