Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (06:30 - 15:00) Experience: 2 Years of CVOR Experience Required License: Compact or State License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 2 Years of Operating Room Experience - Experience with a variety of surgical procedures - Comfortable with emergency response situations Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The role requires the ability to handle a variety of surgical procedures and support both the surgical team and patients. Expected cases per day range from 10 to 25 across 7 rooms. Call duties include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The unit accepts first-time travelers as long as they have sufficient operating room experience. Experience in procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, and other general and cardiac surgeries is essential. Nurses should be familiar with infection control practices, specimen handling, and patient monitoring. The ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team is crucial. Adherence to safety protocols and procedures is mandatory. The environment requires flexibility and adaptability to respond to emergency situations as directed by management. All candidates must comply with vaccination requirements.
