Key Responsibilities

• Manage the operating room environment across a pediatric surgical unit with 8 ORs, supporting a variety of service lines including cardiac, orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, and plastics
• Assist surgeons during procedures, including pediatric cardiac and open heart surgery
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide pre- and post-operative care at a 1:1 patient ratio
• Collaborate effectively with charge RNs, surgical techs, and anesthesia providers during hours of operation
• Utilize EMR systems including Meditech and CPN to document patient care accurately
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed to support the night shift on-call team

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; minimum 1 year of current hospital-based Pediatric CVOR RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Experience with cardiac and open heart surgery is required - candidates without this will not be considered
• Active and unrestricted RN license applicable to the state of Colorado

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric nursing experience beyond CVOR setting
• Broad CVOR and cardiac surgical experience across multiple service lines
• Ability to function effectively across multiple surgical service lines
• Experience with Belmont Rapid Infusion equipment or similar rapid infusion technology
