Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR), supporting cardiac surgical procedures from setup through case completion
  • Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
  • Participate in cardiac on-call rotation, expected approximately 6 call shifts per month (may vary based on staffing levels), including weekday and 24-hour weekend shifts
  • Complete required facility modules prior to start date; modules are time-sensitive and must be prioritized promptly upon assignment confirmation
  • Chart accurately using EPIC
  • Perform other OR cases as assigned when no CVOR cases are scheduled
Required Qualifications
  • Active or pending RN license (Florida license or compact eligibility required)
  • Minimum 2 years of direct CVOR experience
  • AHA BLS and ACLS required at time of submittal
  • NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
  • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; requests added after submission are unlikely to be approved
  • Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
  • Familiarity with EPIC charting system
  • Experience working in a teaching hospital environment
  • Comfort with on-call requirements and adaptability to variable case volumes
