**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Surgery!**
**Job Description**
Join a dynamic surgical team where your nursing skills will shine! As a Registered Nurse in SR Surgery, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Complete nursing database and care plans with concise and pertinent information, reporting findings to the physician.
- Perform nursing procedures and interventions safely, efficiently, and with technical skill.
- Safely defuse anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage.
- Identify patient learning needs and provide effective education.
- Demonstrate appropriate and effective use of delegation.
- Utilize information from annual training and adhere to the nurse practice act.
**Qualifications:**
**Required Skills & Experience:**

**Preferred Skills & Experience:**
- Hospital experience within the past five (5) years.
**Education:**
**Required Education:**
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
**Preferred Education:**
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
**Required Certifications & Licensure:**
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
**Schedule Notes:**
- ASAP Start
- Availability to circulate CVOR cases and other specialties such as General, GYN, urology, neuro, and ortho.
- Days/Hours: 3x12, Hours are 0645-1915.
