Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) or Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) setting
- Manage and monitor fresh open heart surgery patients beginning on post-operative day zero
- Utilize the Epic electronic health records system for documentation and patient management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Influenza vaccination required — no exemptions accepted
- Prior experience in CVICU or CTICU, including care of post-operative open heart patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing patients on post-operative day zero following open heart surgery
- Familiarity with cardiothoracic surgical protocols and hemodynamic monitoring
- CCRN or relevant critical care certification
