Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend
- May be required to float to like units or lower acuity units across up to 5 hospital campuses as needed (excluding the ED)
- Complete all assigned compliance modules by the required deadlines (modules are non-billable, 8 hours each)
- Maintain current RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temp or Perm; no EMSA)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — BLS and ACLS must be AHA-issued
- Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in CVICU or equivalent specialty
- Travel nursing experience required
- EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history
- Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across ICU, SDU, or Telemetry units
- Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments
- Availability for same-day or next-business-day interviews preferred
