Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill cardiovascular patients, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact licensure eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU or comparable critical care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiovascular surgical patients and hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with ventricular assist devices (VADs), intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs), or ECMO
- Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity ICU environment
