Registered Nurse – CVICU (Travel Contract)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Projected Start: September 18, 2026 | Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill cardiovascular patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of CVICU or cardiovascular critical care nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced critical care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), or ventricular assist devices (VADs)
- Prior travel nursing experience in a CVICU or similar critical care specialty
- CCRN certification preferred
