    Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Cardiovascular ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:1 for higher acuity patients including IABP, CRRT, and open heart cases)
    • Perform and assist with procedures including rapid sequence intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, bronchoscopy, and chest tube placement
    • Manage patients on ventilators, vasopressors, arterial lines, and restraints in accordance with unit protocols
    • Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
    • Float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or serve as a sitter anywhere in the inpatient setting as needed per unit floating policy
    • Complete 3 weekend shifts within every 4-week period as part of the scheduling requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
    • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience (strong candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered)
    • Cardiac nursing experience required
    • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
    • Proficiency with ventilators, vasopressors, arterial lines, and standard ICU clinical skills
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with IABP, CRRT, and post-operative open heart patient management
    • Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records documentation system
    • Outgoing, collaborative personality with a strong team-player mindset
