Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Cardiac ICU setting with a 1:1–1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Care for post-operative fresh open heart surgery patients and mixed ICU patient populations
- Monitor patients using GE telemetry systems and manage ventilated patients as needed
- Collaborate with an in-house Hospitalist (24/7), Respiratory Therapy (24/7), and Pharmacy (24/7) teams
- Participate in self-scheduling with manager review and approval approximately six weeks in advance
- Float to telemetry or med-surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Recent, hands-on experience with fresh open heart surgery patients
- Experience caring for mixed ICU patient populations
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Must pass an onsite proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one (Pass/Fail)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with GE telemetry monitoring systems
- Comfort with ventilator management in a critical care environment
- Experience in a high-acuity cardiac or cardiovascular ICU setting
