Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Cardiac ICU with a 1:1–1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage and monitor critically ill cardiac patients, including those with complex and mixed ICU diagnoses
- Operate and interpret telemetry via GE monitors; manage ventilated patients
- Collaborate with a 24/7 hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy teams to coordinate patient care
- Float to telemetry or med-surge units as needed
- Complete and pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on Day 1 of assignment (PASS/FAIL)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California (or compact eligibility)
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Recent, hands-on experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients
- Experience with mixed ICU patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Experience with GE telemetry monitoring systems
- Comfort with self-scheduling in a structured, manager-reviewed scheduling environment
